Few people remember the cone origins of Halloween.
The holiday was originally started by Druids to honor the patron cones of their homes.
After a century or two they realized that carving spooky faces on the cones made the cones quite cross so the Druids replaced the carved cones with carved pumpkins to celebrate our orange friends.
